Hi,
this gadget is awesome, thanks for all the effort you put into it. I installed Windows 7 64-bit, and i have the same problem as Dexter09. Whenever i click on the “+” or the “-” on the Timer, it +1 or -1 the timer, but also opens the folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\CTcontrol1.9.1.gadget. Is the solution for this known or at least, is it worked on?

Thanks in advance, hope you continue to work on this superb gadget.

p.s. It would be really great if you could just type in the Timer value (like the way is for alarm). It’s really not that fun clicking tens of times for the right value.

anyway to turn off the “gong” at midnight..would be nice to be able to turn if off if you are leaving your computer on at night in your room… also i cannot find the check mark to toggle to smaller visual size….

Ok, It’s May, and still the extra “0″ in the time (on the English version anyway). I really like your control, but that problem is rather annoying. Thankfully, I still have a v1.x control, but it would be nice if we can get a fix for this.

Yea thanks for the tip QuarkZ but that does not fix the overall problem. It just removes the extra 0. In line 362 you have to change
if (hours){suffix=”PM”;} to if (hours>=12){suffix=”PM”;} because if you don’t the AM time will be displayed as PM. Putte I hope you don’t mind that I dug up in your program and changed up stuff.

Hi,

Here is the solution to correct the 3 digits bug :

Open the file gadget.js in your C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\CTcontrol2.0-1.gadget\core

Find the line “if (hours<10){hours=”0″+hours;}” and comment it ie the line will become “//if (hours<10){hours=”0″+hours;}” (no quotes)

Et voila!

I also have the problem with the extra zero being added to the time on a 12 hour clock. I am running Windows 7 64 bit (English). Hopefully you can get this fixed soon, or provide instructions as to how one can make the adjustment themselves.

Edit: Re-downloaded version 1.0, and this issue was not there, so it’s something that has changed between the two versions.

Ok, thank you Zaine, seems like an issue depending on the running operating system. I guess you’ve got an english version. On my system (german) everything works fine. I hope I can fix it soon.
